Power production in the Nordic region. Group operation and maintenance processes and group offshore wind. Industrial ownership. 

Background 

Dag Smedbold is acting EVP with responsibility for the Nordic region from April 1th, 2024. He comes from the position as Regional Director for Northern Norway. 
Smedbold has been employed in Statkraft since 1987 and has held a number of management positions in Norway and internationally, mainly with operational responsibility for plants in Norway, Germany, UK and South America. In addition to hydropower, he has also led the commissioning of the first wind farms in Norway and gas power in Germany. He sits on the Board of Directors of Eviny. 
 
Smedbold holds a master's degree in marine technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.
